The Case for Wisconsin Sovereignty:
Statement on Terrorism and 9/11
The policy must change even if the official story is completely true. However there are many questions about the actual events of the day. Government is supposed to be the servant of the people. If those who question the official account are off base, the government should facilitate a full disclosure of the details of what happened and fully refute their case in an open forum. The fact that they refuse to do this fuels speculation that they are hiding the truth. The media, instead of attacking people who ask questions, should themselves be asking hard questions and getting to the bottom of the situation. Perhaps then we could answer questions and put this tragic situation behind us.

We do not know what happened on 9/11. However we support accountable government that is open and honest. This is essentially the opposite of our current government.

Firefighters for 9/11 Truth:

Terrorism has been the hot topic of the decade. The 9/11 attacks were tragic events to be sure. However the events lead to an even more tragic change in American policy. The attacks lead to the start of two ongoing wars which are killing and disabling our troops by the thousands, killing multitudes of civilians, fomenting hatred against America throughout the world and bankrupting our cash-strapped nation. We have also seen the undermining of our civil liberties. Citizens are  increasingly afraid of their government and its massive, out of control intelligence agencies.

We feel that Benjamin Franklin was right when he stated:
“Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and loose both.”
Our nation’s “war on terror” is immoral and ineffective. It is time to look to our traditions of freedom for solutions. If the terrorists truly attacked us because they hate our freedoms it is clear that we should not willfully destroy freedom in ordered to stop terrorists. Our nation will truly combat terrorism when we end our policies of militarism, bring our troops home and focus on defending our own territory instead of occupying others.

In addition to our failed post-9/11 policy, there has been a shocking lack of transparency by the government and a complete lack of journalism by the major media. JFK said it best:
The very word "secrecy" is repugnant in a free and open society… We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers, which are cited to justify it.
